This is interesting. I have always made my paste up in a particular
plastic container, put multiple layers of plastic wrap on it, wrapped
it in a towel or put it in a sock and then place it in a warm dark
place (even the back of a drawyer sometimes). I have been concerned
about the air getting to it. But I think I have been just as
concerned about the light and sometimes more concerned about keeping
it warm. I know warmth is good for it during the dye release stage,
but what about light. Does light seem to effect the staining
capacity? My pastes stain really excellently. So I know keeping the
light out does not do any harm during this stage. Just wondering if
it is an unnecessary step or adding something to the process.
