I've Just finished a two day pre paid event (paid by a local council.
Like lauren yesterday was scorching and again like lauren I got
rather red shoulders. I hadn't even got my books out before being
swamped by kids asking 'are you the tattoo lady?' - sounds like a
freak show doesn't it. I started at 12pm and was still being
harrassed at 4.30pm ( was meant to finish at 4pm.

Today i was working for the same council and again being harrassed by
loads of kids. However I had 3 asian ladies actually queue up for me
to henna them. Is that a compliment? One was in her 50s another is
due to get married in September and is considering me to do her
bridal work for her (YIPPEEE but scary as hell) and another also does
henna with awfull huge pre-mix carrot like bags from india that smell
like a petrochemical plant. She was saying that she hennas her
faimily and friends a lot and sometimes she does it herself, how nice
it is to have it done by someone else and 'don't forget the curl
there will you' MMM patronising or chatty?
I spent more time on their designs (mainly HJBA paisly patterns)as i
wanted to impress. I don't get to work on any ethnic communities here
as i live in a predominantly white area (sigh wish i didn't).

Well that's it. Off to Manchester agian tomorrow for a HUGE festival
(we charge this time) but the weather forecast is not good.
