Oh my it was a gorgeous weekend here in Washington!

Did a largish event this weekend...15,000 people came thru the site
on Saturday alone. There was a ton of merchants and 2 other henna
booths besides mine. But spent a good chunk of Saturday and Sunday
doing non stop work.

Friday night I went to one of the food merchants to get a cup of
coffee and had paste drying on one hand. The cooks looked at it and
were asking questions, they just couldn't believe it was done
freehand...they were cute. One woman asked my name, and when I told
her she replied "I have heard of you! Someone didn't know you were
going to be here and had henna done by someone else...she would have
gone to you if she had known you were here"...that was really cool.

Had another woman come and show me the stain the day after and she
gave me glowing compliments too.
Very cool to hear that since this is my first gung ho year out there.

Sunday I had a group of 'tweens' watching me, there were 2 women with
them. One of the women said to the girls, "you don't want to get
THIS done?". I explained henna/mehendi a bit to them, and I heard
one of the girls tell the woman "I want to get one". Well they were
all part of a syncronized swimming group and she wanted their group
logo done. They all had on their shirts w/ the logo. The logo was
just a swimmer upside down w/ one leg bent one leg straight. I said
I would need a moment to sketch it out, but ended up doing it w/o
sketching first. In the end 3 of the girls had it done. All three
had the logo put on their ankle. It was sooooo cute. I got a
picture of the 3 ankles together. I should have the pix back from
the developer next week. I'll post it when I do.

So all in all...gorgeous weather, nice people...good time.
I am pooped!!!

Kenzi and Castle Art may be getting some orders from a few
people...lol. Several people asked where to get good henna, or where
I got mine, so I handed them my card and referred them to the 'links'
page of my site and told them to follow it onward for the powder I
use.

Oh, and I went out yesterday and got to purchase my tent upgrade!!!
YAY.
Ok....done rambling!
blessings,
Justine Willowhawk
