I soooo lucked out. I got an EZ-UP brand canopy. Yes they are
spendy, but well worth it. I have a friend who has invested in 2 and
she likes them alot. The ones at Costco are Caravan brand, and I
have other friends that have invested in a few of those also. The
one difference I can see is that the Caravan brands tend to pool
rainwater at the eaves. With the EZ-UP brand that doesn't happen the
same way. It's just a slight difference in the construction of the
roof.
I opted for the EZ-UP Sprint/Escort model, as I like the roof shape
better. It's a lightweight version, but much better than what I was
using before. It sets up great and a lot of head room in this one,
not as much framework hanging low. Also, doing as many SCA events as
I am...I am really debating on just going for broke next year and
purchasing a canvas/wood period pavilion.

A 10x10 is great for me...just me in my booth working. I can use the
front 5x10 space to work in and the back 5x10 for a bedroom. We
decided on this {my merchant friend and I} because I double in her
booths for some events and I am locate right in the front and while I
am working all the wanderers-by can easily see what I am doing. If I
was working in the back of the 10x10 people would just continue by
because they can't see as well what I am doing.

Check out Ebay for EZ-UPs...occasionally there are some there. I
have noticed that the listings used to say "EZ-UP" but now read more
like "EZ up style".
BTW, got mine at Wal Mart of all places.
Blessings,

: What kind of tent upgrade are you getting?
: My husband is trying to talk me into an Easy-Up but they cost like
: $500. We have a 10x10 sunshade with three poles to a side that he
: just hates. Some friends of mine bought an Easy-Up type sunshade
at
: Costco for $200 and it does look more professional than ours, but I
: met a vendor this past weekend who has one of that kind and says
it's
: worth it to pay the extra money as she hates the cut-cost version.
: What are other people using, do you like what you have, and what is
: cost-effective? Is bigger than 10x10 better?
: Lauren
