I use the triangle, like I show in the journal article linked below.
What you don't see ( because I was taking pics) is that I put my
finger right where I want the tip to be and pivot the
rotation/rolling/spiralling at that point .... and all goes well.
Then I need just one bit of tape to hold the seam, and one bit of tape
at the end. If I have a 12" to 18" side to the triangle (not the
hypotenuse) there's plenty of layers in the cone, so no leaking. And,
with a little cone, I use it up fast enough I've never seen any
terp-dissolution. A terped cone sat on my desk 4 days ... didn't see
any wierd disolving....

Though ..... a carrot bag is still my fav.
