Metal salts are crystalline much like table salt. Metal oxides are
opaque powders. Metallic salts are poisonous if eaten but I doubt
very much that is absorbed through the skin and metal oxides are not
reactive so I doubt it can help the stain. The copper metal might
help the henna stain. I remember adding iron powder to the henna
paste once and it became bubbly foamy and turned pitch black. I need
to do that experiment again but I am still not sure how much it helps
the stain.
