Welcome Kimberly,

Henna goes stale if exposed to air, light, and heat, so in an airtight
container in the fridge or freezer is best. I keep mine in multiple
ziplocks way back in the recesses of the fridge, but some people go
all out and freeze it.
it will take a while to figure out how much to mix at one sitting, and
you'll also learn how long the paste lasts - it's different for
different recipes, and in different environmental conditions.
