Daily rates should be at a discounted rate.
Your current hourly rate = 100%
daily rate = 50-60% of your hourly rate x number of hours (greater
than 5 hours to qualify, under 5 hrs use your hourly rate!)
Travelling time is usually based on gas & mileage.
It usually represents either a flat fee $25-50 (depending on how far
the drive is) or a percentage fee of the total (10-20% of total
amount, usually), or a combination of both, or a which ever is
greater of both.
This is not a formula set in stone. However, that's what we've been
working with for the past years. It fits well for the all the events
we've done.
We've also done Pay-per-Henna parties, where the sponsor pays your
travelling fees and guarantees to pay a set agreed-upon fee per
person (usually between $5 to $10) and a number of guests wanting to
do this, for better evaluation purposes.
For all bokked event, we require a 50% deposit 2 weeks prior to the
event to guarantee the booking of the henna artist(s). This deposit
is non-refundable if cancellation happens within 10 days of event,
leaving the sponsor a 5 day option to change their mind.
There is more but it's making it a little too long and I don't want
to bore the readers with un-necessary info.
If you have more questions, or want to get mileage/gas charges and
other useful info, email me separately and I'd be happy to assist you
further.
