For a little atmosphere, i have a lovely open tent (in nice colours),
a few carpets, a short round table from india and plenty of veils
and sarees to close off the side walls. I think it will be a nice
environment. I will also have some belly dancing supplies to sell
on the side. Hopefully it will look a little proffesional! An assistant
is a wonderul idea, thanks!

cheers
Mika

: : I am about to go into my first festival (a little SCA event).
: Yippie.
: :
: : I am curious...do you put up a sheet about henna warnings
: : (senitive skin, staining cloaths, etc)?
:
: I *do* have a warning sheet taped to my table, listing the
: ingredients of my henna paste and asking for clients to "spot
test"
: if they are allergic to any ingredient, or if they know they have
: extremely sensitve skin.
:
: Do you offer specific
: : designs or just improvise as you go along? I would love to
hear
: : some personal stories!
:
: I have design books that I take with me, and this can be very
helpful
: even if th client doesn't find what they want in the book.
Sometimes
: I change designs they see to fit what they want, or sometimes
they
: just say "draw on me" which is a blast, but difficult when you
don't
: know what they like or don't.
:
: Make sure you take head covering, water, food, and if possible,
an
: assistant to help you. The assistant is more helpful than you
can
: imagine when it comes to answering henna questions so you
can
: concentrate on your designs.
:
: Best wishes and tell us all about it afterwards.
