I've never tried MDHD but I can't tell you how much money I wasted
buying boxed henna off the shelf! Why can't you buy online? If it's
lack of a credit card, many retailers, including me, are happy to
work with money orders or checks through the mail. If you buy from
an artist's stock, you get the good stuff.

If it doesn't bother your hands, it shouldn't bother your scalp. Tea
tree is actually an ingredient in several medicinal shampoos, so it
may do you some good. I've used old terped paste with great success
on my hair. It did have some mighty fumes, though! You can also mix
the powder with other stuff to change the smell. I use Red Zinger
tea, which also gives me a slightly magenta sheen which I love. You
can use coffee, teas, or flower petals to make it smell different
: Once you've tried henna it becomes a life long joy !!!
