Yay! I'm glad you reached a resolution that works for both you and
your husband. My hubby, too, gets concerned -- and your first post
helped open a discussion with us.

I totally agree with a lot of folks here that you need to listen to
your instincts because things like tone of voice or word choice can
tip you off to bad intentions -- your unconscious will pick up on
this even if your conscious mind is trying to remember your schedule
and do the logistics. If I feel uncomfortable about someone, I don't
have room on my schedule for their appointment. I also don't do
housecalls for men. I'll meet them at the local
coffeeshop/bookstore. So far, this has worked out well, and I've met
some interesting folks.

I always give Bill the name, address and phone number of where I'm
going.... but don't call when I get there, but I would call if I felt
a little uncomfortable once I got there -- that's a great idea. The
act of calling lets people know you have someone watching out for
you.
