The magic is in you and the touching and the sharing of yourself and
our skills. Can you imagine what it must have been like to have
someone tending to a painful area and proving themselves to be so
trustworthy as you...to have caused no pain as promised. But even
more, imagine the the experience you provided that allows her to now
reframe her feet from the sources of pain to something pretty that
you just can't get enough of looking at. That sounds like such a
healing experience. It doesn't erase the pain...but it does appear
to have added some special joy to her spirit...and yours too.
Thanks for sharing your story. The magic of henna is not the stain
or design...but the things that are done...the process that gets you
to...and ultimately result in the product of a design and stain. I
do believe that this is what separates the henna "artist" from
the "technician." The henna artist works to perfect as best as is
humanly possible the process...the technician tends primarily to the
stain and design and therefore misses the journey.
