Another tale of PPD woe

A couple of friends of mine from a tatting list I'm on have gotten PPD
burns. They were on vacation in Gatlinburg TN and got designs that
are now blistering. I just wish the topic would have come up on the
list before they went on vacation!

I had posted a message to the group about how I used an element of my
henna design as a gauge for making my picots and one of the members
thought this was just fabulous and asked what I thought about some of
the henna kits you see around. I told them that you had to be very
careful with them and gave the short version of the PPD rant. The
group is moderated so not many OT posts make it through, but the
moderators thought this was an important enough post to allow it even
though it was technically off topic. I'm *so* glad they did because
Lisa (one of the friends) saw it and now knows why her arm is all
blistered and running. She emailed me privately and I sent her more
links on PPD, specificly the medical stuff to take to her doctor and
now she and the other friend are on their way for treatment.

I also strongly encouraged them to contact the health department in
Gatlinburg, and mentioned that a letter to their tourism board
wouldn't be a bad idea.
