Hi Samantha,

How silly to say you just want to make all the money yourself. Had
that been the case, why would you have taken the time to stop making
money yourself in order to get officials there to do something to
prevent them from hurting people.

The shame is that these people won't go away. They were probably
someplace else before sundown...set up and spreading their poisonous
joy to the unsuspecting masses.

I like to think that most people selling things that harm others do
so to meet a need without the knowledge of the harm they are
causing. The folks you encountered surely do not appear to fall into
this category. They were aware of the controversy, so they at least
had reason to suspect what they do could be harmful. If they are so
set upon focusing only on producing black stains regardless of the
cost to others, then those are surely some scary folks. I am glad
that your husband and a rep from the sponsoring group was with you.
Sounds like they turned about as ugly as they could without getting
stomped. Take care of who you are dealing with if you ever have to
confront this sort alone.

Concerning the two girls who didn't come after the information.
Hopefully they at least got rid of the paste on them or did not get a
reaction from it. But yours is a perfect example of how you win
some...and lose some. But if you win one over, you have created an
ambassador for pure natural henna. Ripples. You won two
over...Hmmmmmmm, what do ripples become when they grow up? Whatever
it is, you sent it out into the universe. You have proven again that
to get people to drop a behavior with negative consequence (like
getting a black henna design) it is not just enough to scare with
talk about the possible reprecussions of their behavior. Far more
effective to offer them a safe and acceptible substitute behavior.
It sounds like by providing the design with safe natural henna, you
replaced an act of betrayal with trustworthy behavior...fear with
comfort and support...and a tattoo with a work or art executed with
care.

Fantastic and effective interaction on all levels...excellent job.

Maureen
