is my henna playing a trick on me?

I usually let my henna sit over night for the dye to release, (but
then again I have only made henna in the winter months). So usually
it is in my house at about 70 degrees for 24 hours and i dye releases.

So today I made some in a container and put it on my windowsill
covered with a dish towel so no light could get in. In a few hours
(about 3), my henna looked as if the dye had been relased. The
temperature was at about 96 degrees. So i was wondering if my henna
is playing a trick on me or if the dye released in just a few hours.
If it did I would love to be able to use it tonight instead of waiting
till tomorrow. Please let me know if I can expect my henna to realese
it's dye in just a short time during summer months.
