I hope the picture works...

I had this vision while looking at a catalog that the baby was
shredding one afternoon, the catalog featured the "One Ring" from the
Lord of the Rings, by JRR Tolkien.

The quote is : "One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them" on
the outside and "One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind
them." on the iside of the ring. (Check the link if you'd like to see
the page to buy a One Ring copy).

The Elvish script, which I have since found out is Tengwar Quenya
(Quenya being the language of the High Elves, I understand, and
therefore appropriate for spell casting such as the Ring) seemed a
fantastic design. The quote is trademarked, but my rendition is from
a Quenya font made up by a Tolkien fan. So it isn't a reproduction of
Tolkien in any way. I am not a huge Tolkien fanatic, but I did
thoroughly enjoy the movie, it was very accurate to the book, as I
remember it anyway. (The Two Towers killed me on reading the whole
series, and I keep meaning to go back and read it again now, this
time all the way through all 3. I loved the Hobbit though).

And, yesterday I wore my sari (CORRECTLY) all day long, and the temp
in town reached 99 yesterday, and I still felt almost comfortable. Of
course, the air conditioning helped. I began the first of a series of
local lecture yesterday, and gave 2 henna lectures/demos for young
adults for the public library's summer reading program. I have about
a half dozen more scattered throughout the summer. How fun it is to
sit down with a small group of this amazing age range and tell henna
tales. I try to remember to focus not only the how-tos of henna, but
the what-fors -- keep them interested in *why* we have practiced this
art for ages and ages.

Thank you CCJ, a splattering of new info is added to my lectures this
year from SSW.

In the middle of the day, I had time between lectures and browsed
Wild Oats for EOs. I needed to buy lavendar, and some clove bud, but
I felt like picking up something new too. On impulse I grabbed the
Wyndmere "Jasmine" tester and instantly fell head over heels in love.
Ohhhh sweet sweet sweet. Ohhhh to smell it again. Ohhh how it blends
with Cardamom seed, with Clvoe Bud, With Frankincense, With Cajeput,
With tea tree... everything... yummmm.

I wish i weren't so decorated right now, I'm dying to mix me a
Jasmine batch.
