Depends on the design

In reply to: How do you wrap a hand design? posted by Jenna on June 21, 2002 at 13:53:23:

If there is any chance that you fingers will rub together and smear
the design, I'd wrap separately, and heavily. With me, the main
point of issue is the fingertips. My pinky fingertip kind of folds
under the ring finger a bit when my hand is relaxed. If I've done
full-covered fingertips, the pinky paste will spread to the ring
finger. I unroll cotton balls and wrap in a spiral starting at the
base of each finger, making sure that the paste cannot be seen
through it where it counts. Then I weave a doubled piece of toilet
paper through the fingers once and wrap around the outside a couple
times. I usually wrap the thumb separately so I can use the hand
after wrapping. Sometimes I'll put plastic over this.
