Hi Monica,

Sorry to hear that some of your friends got literally "burnt" by the
henna with the black dye stuff added. But it is really quite
fortunate that the moderator of the site allowed the limited
information to get through. That at least seems to have been enough
to put people on alert about the reaction. That awareness at least
allowed your friend there to have someone to contact regarding what
was happening to here...and also enough information to know "what"
was happening.

That upfront information you provided seems to have been sufficient
to help them to realize the problem and now to get proper care.
While prevention would be the best possible result from sharing
information, informing people about how to get good and proper
treatment for reactions can save them a lot of suffering and hit and
miss treatment from doctors not familiar with what is present to them.

That is good looking out.

I am wondering if a thank you note/post to the moderator for allowing
the first post to get through might prompt him/her to post your thank
you post that reiterates the information including links to more
information including the info that should be taken to doctors? It
might be worth a try since some members of the group have been harmed
and more are at risk.

Take care.

Maureen
