Just making a quick post here while my Dad is visiting. We went to
the San Deigo Wild Animal park for their Roar and Snore Friday night
then spent all of Saturday there. Well as we are being walked back to
the camp site what should we pass but a henna booth. *BIG GRIN*
Didn't get a chance to stop and check them out but promised myself I
would on Saturday. Finally got a chance to stop and chat with them in
the afternoon and checked out their design book. I ended up getting a
small design on the back of my right hand (got to help support
another artist and have my hennaing hand done *GRIN*). The girls
(couldn't have been much older than early 20s if that) running the
booth seemed to have done thier homework and had a nice selection of
designs in their book. I mentioned how wonderful it was to see them
using the real stuff not the toxic black wannabe henna and one gal
whipped out a print out of the PPD warnings from here much to my
delight. She said she tries to warn people who ask for black. I got
to stop by before we left a few hours later and let them see the
stain once the paste had dried and crumbled off, a nice light
brownish color. By this morning it was a nice burnt senna color. I'll
try and post a picture once I get all my film developed.
