: Wow...can I just say that again??? I got some pillows made for
: mine, but boy! those hanging sarees are awsome!! I just did a
safe
: grad which terrified me but thanks to everyone here I actually was
: totally prepared!! Now I have my first large major Indian
Wedding!!
: AHHHHH!!!!!! Can you say stagefright????

The tapestry is a Laxshmi from India Arts. A friend has a shop and
gave me Her and a Shiva tapestry also. I had always liked the colors
in it and wanted to use it...so voila'.

What you are referring to as sari's are actually just panels of
fabric from WalMart's bargain bin. My outer walls, inner pink
panels, and dags around the top outside, and ceiling {which you can't
see} were all $1-$3/yard from there. The most spendy fabric I
purchased was the fabric for the pillow's {forms were purchased 2/$5
at value village} and that was $4/ yard...however it is an awesome
pattern...looks just like Navneet arabic designs! I am planning on
purchasing more so I can cover the couch and chairs w/ it.
As for sari's...I am too stingy...I have to wear them not hang
them...lol.
Have fun w/ your Indian wedding....I wish I had the fortune to do one!
Thanks,
Justine
