: Bigen. ...So i am asking: why does thousands of woman colour their
hair with it? and why is it aloud to distribution?
...The site i mentioned warns about this bigen poison and advertises
some "MUD" henna. Interesting?
The chemical PPD (find more info through links on this board) in the
hair dye is a poison. If you have ever noticed the directions on hair
dye packages, there are usaully warnings about not rubbing the
product into your scalp. Hair dye is usually placed on the hair(dead
cells, buy the way) and left on for a maximum of thirty minutes. It
is not expected to be applied to the skin (live cells) and left for
several hours, where it is actually absorbed into the body.
Hair dye is not perfectly harmless, especially for pregnant women,
both because of the fumes and the toxins that can be absorbed. I do
dye my hair dark brown, but I follow the patch test/safety
instructions and realize that I am taking a health risk. I would
never consider trying to dye my skin with the stuff.
I can understand your suspicion of a warning of one product that
comes along with an advertisment for another product, but please do
look into the matter. PPD is dangerous-period. Bigen has a very
strong concentration of this chemical. Take care of yourself and dont
think something is safe because you see others doing it.
