When you work a regular job, after a year or so, you get a raise
because you are better at your job with more practice and people want
to keep you there.
When you're doing henna, you will naturally get better and faster at
what you do frequently. If last year you charged $10 for a design
that was moderately challenging and took ten minutes, then this year
it's easy and takes you only 6 minutes, then you're only giving
yourself the raise you deserve. I charge more for complex Spellstone
designs than complex traditionals because I don't quite have the
rhythm of Spellstone yet and so they take me longer, yet they're my
most popular book this year. People don't think about how long a
design takes, just how good it looks, and so should you.
