for the pleasure of others, and we are NOT whores. It's a strange
position to be in. But we do have the choice of what we will and
will not do for money.
I was asked by this Palestinian guy to henna his penis. I refused
right away because I sensed it wasn't just for the henna. He asked
me why I wouldn't do it since it's just putting henna on skin, so why
would this be any different from hennaing someone's hands. He has a
point, but unfortunately the penis is a little more sexualized than
the hand and his attitude was clearly that he was in it for the
thrill not for the henna. If he was in it for the henna he could
have gotten it on his hand!
What really clinched it for me is when I suggested that my henna
partner might be willing to do it for him and he asked where she was
from; when I told him that she is Palestinian he wasn't interested.
Absolute, 100% pure clarification that he was not in it for the
henna...in case I wasn't sure about it! But even so, if hennaing
some part of the body or in circumstances that make you
uncomfortable, we always have the choice to say no. We may be henna
geishas, but we are not indentured henna servants, no matter how much
they pay us.
Your gigs sound like so much fun, tho it's a shame that you were
concerned about this woman with her boobs hanging out and what might
happen to her, and all she wanted was to buy a thrill off of you. It
sucks to be a sexual object (or so I am told!!)!
