I'm popping in, still without a computer until next week though. And
I'm missing SUCH good posts about art vs. craft, etc etc....

The Lavendar fair was very busy, but any time you say FREE people pay
attention. I didn't stop for 3 hours straight until the clouds drew
up enough to let out a huge burst of rain. At LAST the monsoons are
coming, it's finally been raining and raining....

So it dumped rain and I saved my books from being destroyed -- but
forgot about my beautfilou sign that I use for advertising that i
made myself :( I am still really bummed my sign is destroyed. i'm not
used to contingency plans that include water falling from the sky.

Anyhow, before i had even dried off the table, the crowd was back and
I didn't stop again until the next big burst which was minutes from
closing at 6. i hennaed almost nonstop for almost 6 hours. not even a
pee break.... it was nuts. my speed slinging skills went wayyyy up
though, and i made some great contacts with people who were excited
to get henna done. so that was all good.

Also, i tried the mini extra fine tip that was from Michaels'.com
tht was posted about. It really does give extraordinairy fine lines,
but i found it hard to get the henna thru the tip. i had to squeeze
so hard on the j bottle i hurt my thumb for hours. i havent done that
in a long time. also, it doesnt fit a j bottle, i had to file the j
bottle plastic tip to get the exrafine to fit, and it doesnt stay on
real well. the bottle the tip came with is VERY stiff and would not
do for squeezing henna, no way no sir.

Got a wedding tonight, i'm so psyched!

next week my computer life should be back to normal. see you all

For the record, i say i'm a craftsman, who wishes for artistry.
