A a manager at Michaels i have lots of experience of help calling out
sick .in retail you don't show up don't get paid(the employees know
this), that is all there is to it. Cold hearted yes, but necessary .
She called back: tough luck. I would have said I don't need you now
i have a replacement artist on the way. I'll consider you for another
gig in the near future. Don't loose sleep over it. this senario of
calling out sick happens almost every day in my store.
AS long as you had fun at the gig.
