Well, yes, with the Mughal invasions, the art and aesthetics of henna
in India was hugely influenced by Persia. YOU can see via miniatures
and other pictorial the specific period of changeover and blending of
Persian and Indian architecture, henna, ............ everything. Henna
was in India before the Islamic conquest and assimilation, but it was
totally different, and what we see now as Indian Henna is a product of
that cultural transfusion of Persia into India.
