Totally Unreasonable Customer (yes, I'm ranting again!!)

AAAAAARRRRRRGGGG! (Sorry, had to get that off my chest first!). I
have just had an email from a customer of mine in Greece. He first
emailed me several months ago, asking for my bank details so he could
order some henna. Now, I'm a pretty cautious person when it comes to
what (very little!) money I have, so I asked him to send a cheque
instead. It took three emails to persuade him I wouldn't be sending
my bank details over the email - I guess I should have taken that as
a warning in the first place... Now, a padded envelope arrived from
him at the beginning of the week, *totally empty*. No cheque, no
anything. I emailed him to let him know, his reply to me was that I
obviously hadn't looked hard enough (what??). I told him that there
was nothing at all in the envelope, and that it would be best for him
to send another cheque, if he still wanted the henna. Now this is the
fun bit: he has emailed me back accusing me of trying to get more
money out of him by cashing two cheques, going on about my
fingerprints being on it if it was cashed, and saying "Now, unless
you convince me, beyond reasonable doubt, that the cheque has been
lost, I am afraid I will take this matter further".
What a jerk!
I told him that I resented his accusation and did not want any
further dealings with him, rash maybe, but I am short of temper (must
be the English beer.. :) ) and he's put me in a bad mood for the
rest of the day.
Sorry, rant over now! (But if anyone wants his name to put him on
their personal blacklist.. just email...)
