: mehndiwhali.

I admit, I don't really know what that is either... but I DO know
that from past experience hennaing Indian wedding parties, DON'T LET
THEM TALK YOU DOWN ON YOUR PRICES!!!!

This happened to me. The bride called me up wanting henna, I told
her my prices, she acted all poor and humble, I lowered my prices
(cuz I like to give homegirl discounts), I drive AN HOUR to their
house in Sarasota, pull up into the driveway of these friggin huge
ass house I was like, oh yeah, these people are aching for $. It was
the bride's parent's house and her mother was paying for the mehndi.

I did the work happily, the girl was a joy to chat with as I did her
henna, but in the end, I didn't even get a tip for my hour's drive
and all my work (I was there five hours) It's just not worth it to
get ripped off.
