After slamming henna used on the group of people I did last night
sealing it the same way, going to bed and being plauges with
nightmares - I woke up to no stain WHATSOEVER. I've got super
recpetive henna skin - and I've never not gotten a stain (at worse a
weak orange stain) and especially with this recipe - but I mean
nothing. As it turns out so did all the people I spent three hours
on. And who - BTW paid me and don't know me personally. SO what
little confidnce I might have is gone. And I absoulutly feel
horrible. SO I'm breaking down and getting an earth henna kit
(they've always worked really well - anyone else use 'em?) - even
though I feel like a wimp not making my own- and redoing them all,

Heres the problem. Up until now I've never had a problem with my
paste. I've got a festival next saturday. So I somehow have to figure
out what went wrong and make sure it doesn't happen saturday. Does
anyone have any back up plans that might help????

Here's my recipe, ANY input would be greatly appretiated and reiceved
with many blessings for the giver:)

2 TBLS. fresh (same henna I use all the time - castle imports)
lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon sugar
mix it to mash potatoe consistency. Cover the surface with plastic
wrap lid it and set it on top of the fridge - over the overactive
heat strip.
24 hours later I add 1/2 teaspoon cajeput.
1/2 teaspoon ravensara
and a couple dropperfuls of rose geranium
a bit more lemon juice. Repeat cover and replace on fridge.
the next day (24 hours) I strained (using the super fantastic hose
method) and applies to super clean skin. Let dry and seal with
watered down elmers goo and glitter.

The only thing I could think of - is it's been hot here in CO - very
hot and my house doesn't have A/C. So maybe I overheated it? How
would I prevent that from happening? Or maybe I used it too soon? I
know I'm asking alot but at this point I'm panicking - thanx in
advance - Lelia
