The henna powder in Indian grocery stores is very often shelved with
other hair products, like amla and shikakai. So to put the bigen next
to it as well is not strange, and doesn't mean they want you to use
it on skin. Selling PPD as hair dye is perfectly legal (sadly), so
calling the feds on them would only make you look like a dimwit. Go
with the gory photos, i think.

: Hi All,
: I have a bit of a dilemma and need some input. There's an Indian
: store near me that I frequent, The owners are very nice and they do
: get some good henna on occasion. Today when I went in to check out
: the stock I noticed Bigen Hair dye and another ppd product as well.
: It was on the shelf right next to the real Henna. I have NEVER seen
: any of this stuff at any of the stores around here. So I have a
: with the owners (you are all familiar with the talk I'm referring
: and of course got nowhere with them. Heres my question. Theres only
: about 10 boxes and they are VERY cheap, at $1.99 a box. Do I buy it
: all to get it out of there? It would only cost me around $20 bucks
: and they never seem to get the same stock twice, so chances of them
: getting it again are slim. Does the good of my getting it off the
: shelf outweigh the bad of putting my money into the ppd vendors
: pocket? I can't believe I'm considering purchasing PPD!!!! What do
: you all think? Buy it so no one else can or don't buy?
: Angi
