I have one little tip to add. When sugaring, make sure to pull the
skin taut before pulling off the cotton stip.

Having the skin very tight will prevent bruising. When I was doing
my legs a couple of weeks ago I learnt the value of this advice!
While applying the paste to my ankle area I had accidentally dripped
a small bit of paste on my knee. I didn't realize my inner upper arm
was stuck to that spot until I sat up and pulled my arm away from my
knee. Not only was it very painful but I got a deep, dark purple and
black bruise where the skin was stuck to the sugar.

I can't believe I'm telling this very embarassing story in public,
but it amply illustrates the importance of keeping the skin taut! :)
