Hi,

It will have a lot to do with how fresh it was when you first bought
it and how you kept it during the six months. If it was fresh and
you kept it air tight, away from light and heat...in the refrigerator
or freezer would have worked...it should work just fine for you.
That ofcourse is if you are talking about henna powder. The smell
should give you some indication. But the best indicator will be to
mix some up and try a dot test on a finger when your paste is ready.
If the stain is there your are fine. No stain...your powder is
surely shot.

If you purchased a kit with henna paste. You will just have to try
it to see if it still works for you. Six months is a long time to
have paste last after opened. So try it on a test dot on your
finger. Scrape the paste off after an hour and see if you have a
stain there. No stain...the paste is shot. The smell is not going
to tell you anything about the premix pastes.

Hope this helps.

Maureen
