I had a bad experience with kumkum. I went to an event and had the
kumkum applied to my forhead. It was supposed to be a blessing. It
was a red powder mixed in an oil. The kumkum ran into my eyes and
burned terribly. I've had eye problems since and that was in May.
The people at the meeting refused to tell me exactly what it was made
of the next day. I wrote to CCJ and she said in studies it was found
lead was used. She told me it may not have been lead in the lead in
the kumkum but in the studies done in 1959 it was.
You might want to think about it before you apply it.
Please be careful if you do and don't let it get in your eyes.
I don't want you to have the same problem I had. I wish I'd never
gone to that event.

: Having had the luck to acquire some liquid kumkum cheaply on ebay,
: I'm wondering what might be a good way of applying it? With a tiny-
: tip brush, perhaps, ie a makeup brush? Or perhaps a tiny bottle...
: any suggestions?
:
: I ask so many questions on this group. I can't thank all of you
: enough for your patience and graciousness in your plentiful answers.
:
: Blessings on all of you,
: Jenna
