If you are using traditional paste with no essential oils, you will
need to leave a good chunk of time for it to set. Nothing says you
have to do it all in one sitting, though.
If you have a warm environment- more than 75-80 degrees- and you use
terped paste, you need to leave the design on for less than hour to
get great color.

You're right about that. Henna stains best on non-oily callused
skin. If he has calluses there... well, let's not think about that.
