I have used my kitchen-aid mixer when mixing up 200g of powder. The
bowl is stainless...and I have really only used it to get the lumps
out.
It does whip it up nice and smooth, but then I transfer it to another
bowl...usually plastic and stir it a bit more by hand.

I think I remember Kree speaking of an appliance she uses....maybe
she can speak more of it?

: I sometimes compare making henna paste to baking, which I also
love,
: and got the crazy thought yesterday that it would be entirely
: possible to use an electric mixer to mix up nice smooth paste. Not
: exactly traditional but I pondered it for a bit. I dismissed the
idea
: because of the extra clean up. I also wondered how safe it would be
: to mix up terped henna paste or even plain paste with an electric
: mixer I also use for banana bread and chocolate pudding. I was
: curious if anyone else had attempted using an electric mixer at
some
: point.
