Buying henna from a store shelf usually means it's old and dead by
the time you get it, while buying from an artist both supports the
artist and gets you some of the same batch they're using, which means
it's a lot fresher and will actually work for you.
As for recipes, there are several available online. You can see mine
at the link below.
