the message across without making people defensive. I have
also removed from my book any designs that are tattoo-y (tho
most henna designs would look amazing as tattoos); I have
gotten rid of all Chinese characters (sorry Lezard!) for example. I
find that this causes me to lose some business but about half
the people who wanted a chinese character will accept that and
choose a different design and LOVE it.
I am finding a noticeable change in people's knowledge of
henna; I hear the words "henna tattoo" much less than I used to
and rarely get asked if it hurts or if it's permanent. There is hope!
