: I am ready to order some henna powder, but wanted to ask opinions
of
: which powder to buy? Which is darkest staining? I don't
necessarily
: need it to last a long time, but would like the stain to be dark
: while it was there.....

Any fresh powder should do, and many people on this Forum, including
myself, can give that to you. I don't know of anyone here whose
product is not excellent.
What color you get will depend on where you put it, your mixing
ingredients, and your current skin chemistry. Of course there are
general color variations in the hennas grown in different soils and
harvested at different points in the year, but again your results
will be personal. For example, on some people, the Kimia that I and
Maureen sell goes cherry red without oils and cherry-coke with them.
On me, with oils I get a dark reddish brown, and without oils I get
dark chocolate, as near black as I've seen henna naturally go.
I'd go shopping through several sites to try and find a picture that
looks like the color you want and start there.
