I get that shaky hands thing too. You'd think that your hands would
be shakier at the end of the night, but mine usually get calmer
after I do the first few designs, By the end of the night, my
designs are flowing pretty smoothly. To calm myself, I try a lot
of "Oms" (sp) in the van on the way to the event, and then I do a
few yoga breathing exercises after I have the tent set up and before
I go grab a few customers. It seems to me that the best way to get
business going is to grab a few people, like a small group of cute
girls, and give them free henna. While they're waiting around,
people will stop by to see what you're up to. I got the idea from
CCJ. I swear, when I don't grab a few girlies from the get-go, I
could go without a customer for nearly an hour, even if I go non-
stop for the rest of the night. It just seems like you're better
off to give some away for free to get things going. This also gets
you into the groove so your hands can smooth out before you start on
paying customers.
I saw your website. You do great work. I wish you lots of luck for
your festival. It's a great way to get your name and face out there
for future bookings.
