: has anyone had a problem with straining thier henna thru a
stocking?
: I made two small (about three tablespoons of henna) batches
of henna
: yesterday with just lemon juice. I terped them today with 5 drops
: lavender oil and 5 drops of tea tree oil. when I went to strain it
: after letting it sit what ended up in the bag was about the
: consistency of melted ice cream, and there was clumpy dryish
paste
: inside the stocking when I was done. Maybe I wasn't squeezing
hard
: enough on the stocking? I only strained one batch and I'm
scared to
: strain the second for fear of not being able to use such thin
henna.
: any thoughts?

feel thru the clump inside the stocking, if it is full of grit & sand
like particles, then use a different type of henna. This one has
been cut with some silica stuff. (This type of henna can be sifted
with no problem but it will never make it thru a tiny cone hole.)

*CCJ do you still remember the Rajastani brand henna that you
bought for a bargain in Jackson heights during Sirius NYC. I
think this is a smiliar type of powder she is using. Another
inadequate powder I discovered that has silica stuff in it is
Haseena.
