"Arab coffee", of the sort that has cardamon, added hot,
: WILL make henna slightly darker. (snip)
: Some people have a transdermal uptake of caffeine and if they are
: sensitive to caffiene, coffee in the mix will give them the
jitters.
: Arab coffee can send them into orbit.

The other half of our traveling caravan is my husband making Arabic
Coffee. He usually does a Sufi mix that includes sugar, saffron,
rosewater, and cardamom. One of the properties of the cardamom is as
a nerve tonic, which means you get the caffeine and sugar buzz
without the shakes. This is what allows people to drink so much of
it. If the caffeine in carried through the skin, would the cardamom
be too? He crushes his own seeds in a mortar and pestle just before
adding it to the brew.
