the computer. The image goes from the microscope, through a softeware
hookup, to my monitor. I watch the computer while I twiddle the
microscope, slide, lights, stage, magnification until I get an image I
can live with ... then hit "snapshot". That takes the picture. Then
I save that to a file, etc, etc, etc. My husband got it for me last
Christmas. It was being marketed as a child's toy, but for these
purposes is pretty decent. I can get 10x to 200x. I've been dying to
do this project, but haven't had time until now.
For quick scans of a henna sample, a jeweler's loupe is great. I'd
recommend EVERY henna retailer get one today if you don't already have
one! Once I've found what I'm looking for through the loupe, I can
whip it onto a microscope slide, get a good shot of it, save and upload.
