Yes, I've checked everything against henna off my own bushes. I
thought that would be a good benchmark for purity. I can also see the
tiny red petiole veins, more solid older leaves with bigger veins,
more tender upper leaves, bark, from my own collection ... so that
helps me determine what I'm seeing in the samples.
I suspect the best stuff is hand picked buds, second best is the upper
trimmings, and the trash when they bail up the whole plant (and some
of the surrounding landscape).
