Virtually every henna from India I've tried is dyed. No henna I've
tried from Iran is dyed. One henna from Pakistan was dyed, the others
were pretty pure. I don't have any Moroccan in the house, and the
Egyptian/Yemeni/Meccan/Omani hennaes came up clean, though some were
from Mr. Chunky.

There's some sorting out to be done! Clearly, the FDA wants to play
hardball, and I can't argue with that. 100% henna should be 100%
henna should be 100% henna. Anything other than that is bullshit. I
don't know what that dye is except that it will dye nylon and not skin.
