So this is a huge project and one that needs lots of accurate and
consistent documentation. My husband does this with his research --
does the same experiment with the same equipment and target every
month to track changes -- every month is probably not a good idea,
but maybe at major harvest times or 4-5 times per year.

I was part of the Sirius 2000 stain test. Rounding up results from a
wide variety of people in such a fluid environment was worse than
herding cats! Not possible.

The dot test sounds doable to me -- if a few of us could coordinate
to do dot tests with the same batches at the same time, then we would
cover many variables (impossible to cover every skin chemistry, etc.)
After about a year of testing we'd be able to say something really
significant about consistency.
