A shorter response today: There is an entire page on my website
dedicated to the discounts. Lots of people have benefited from the
discounts, so I think the information is pretty findable there.
I don't like and avoid at all cost the bells and whistle sort of
advertising of discounts. The purpose of the discounts is to benefit
and reward most, the people who have chosen Kimia. Chosen Kimia
either for their wedding, for their classroom students or workshops,
or as henna artist when doing brides, classroom or workshops or
specifically their clients. The point is, if someone has found Kimia
to be to their liking and want to expose others to Kimia and how it
will work for them, then for these people, I have created the
discounts. I am wanting more and more people to know about my
Kimia. The more ways people think of ways to use it with populations
that are unfamiliar with henna powder, the more my attainable my
So far there is the Bridal Discount, Teachers Discount and Henna
Artist Discount. There is also an open invitation to anyone who
believes they belong to a "group" that could get a discount because
of where and how they expose others to henna and the art of Mehndi,
to contact me and let me know what they are doing and how, and I
would give serious consideration to what they do as another
discount. Again, my objective with the discounts is that they
benefit most, the folks who choose Kimia and I therefore want to make
it most accessible to them.
The discount information related to Kimia was also posted here on the
forum prior to it getting on the website. Sometimes I think that
what we pick up is all about what is figural and what is ground to us
at any particular time.
Regarding the cost of henna in those small neighborhood stores...I
don't see the day coming very soon when online henna artists will be
able to match those prices. They obtain their henna powder very
differently than we do. They obtain their henna powder at greatly
reduced prices and I am sure whoever brings it in to distribute does
so in tons. Anyway, that is apples and oranges in a lot of different
