I usually charge by the hour for bridal henna because this takes into
account the complexity of the design. I try to give them an estimate
of how long it will take me so that they can know in advance how much
it will be, and explain that if they choose very simple designs it
will be shorter, and complex designs will take longer. I live in New
York City and tell my clients that if I have to travel anywhere
outside the NYC subway system I have to charge them for travel costs
and travel time (usually 1/2 my normal hourly rate, though I know
some who charge their full hourly rate). My hourly rate is $60 which
is a bit low for my area of the country.

I would advise you to make things really clear when you are booking
the appointment so that there are no misunderstandings at the end of
the night when you are tired and may not feel like arguing or
negotiating.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!
