I surprised myself the other night. Went over to a friends to henna,
he wasn't home, went to a 'friendly neighborhood bar'. Watched myself
get Suuuuper mellow and started hennaing. And got two legit gigs. One
a private party for this crazysexy Brazilian woman, and another a
street fair thingy. I wasn't sure how firm these offers were as they
were offered by the 'mellower than me', but they both called me today
to confirm. Super cool. Anyhoo, I wanted more flash so's I e-bought
henna th' joyous body art, and spellstone tribal book one. As my
printer earns it's keep, as I pull out page after page of yum, I am
getting more and more excited. And talk about instant grat. Totally
worth the 10 & 15 bucks, respectively. And I'm loving how I'll be
challenged for a long time. In both, there are some uber simple whip-
em-outs and some I don't know I'll get for months and months (read
interlocking). Only hard part was some of the designs in Joyous are
rectangle sideways in the thumbs instead of rectangle standing up. So
when I click to enlarge and print, some of it gets cut off. Maybe
there's a way I don't know of to avoid this? My lack of 'puter savvy
showing?
Anyhoo, thanks CCJ and thanks Alex Morgan.Great art. Great books.
peace and phone calls
