Don't know if you do any yoga or not, but many of the hip opening
movements would help, I would think. Baddha Konasana, the bound
angle, Supta Baddha Konasana, the supine bound angle and Kapotasana,
the pigeon are all very nice stretches. Sukhasana, easy pose is an
excellent open for each of these. You can look these up on
http://yogabasics.com. Just click 'asana' on the red bar at top and
then click 'seated postures' from the menu, in case you aren't
familiar with them. I like Maias also- my favourite though, just has
to be the Egyptian style hip circle. Sooooo dramatic!
peace,

: : Zorba, I love the site! I keep trying to show my boyfriend
: : bellydance moves and while he does try, after some odd movements
that
: : aren't at all what I demonstrate, he tells me that women are
just
: : built differently and men can't do that. Not that he's dying to
take
: : up the art, I just want him to appreciate it and he does. He
just
: : can't imitate, he says. Yes, of course I'm sending the site. I
like
: : your quote about practicing to be able to fake it. I'll be
sharing
: : this with next class!
: : Peace and shimmies,
: : txilar
:
: Thanx! He's welcome to email me if he likes. Some moves *are*
harder for (most) men, Maias (which I
: *love*) come to mind. My Maias are there, just on the small side.
