Hmm... this is very odd.
I have never had anything but smooth sailing with Jamila in my pebeo
tips (even the tiny size).
I use LOTS of sugar in my paste, so it dries slow... do you think
this could be affecting it? I have also noticed that it takes a lot
to clear out the tip between uses, unless i soak it while the paste
in the tip is still wet.

: Hi Michelle,
:
: Actually, I have never gotten Jamila to go through the small Pebeo
: tip. I have never gotten anything to go through it without
: clogging. My experience with the smallest tip is that air along
: dries up what every comes out the tip right on its point and
creates
: a problem with the next time I squeeze it. I have tried it with
lots
: of henna powders and with ceramic glazes and some glass and fabric
: paints. Same problems...what ever is on the tip air dries fast and
: has to be knocked off prior to applying more and then a burst of
the
: paste or paints come out followed by a tiny stream. The first is
an
: irritant, the latter truly problematic when the burst ruins the
: design.
:
: But with the larger Pebeo tip, I have no problem with getting
Kimia,
: Navaid 1 & 3, Kezzi 1 & 2, Malimba Moroccan, Usha, or the Jamila to
: come out without any additional sifting. You will possibly find
: other henna powders capable of doing the same.
